here's a brand new venue for us - none other than the long-established
Orleans Country Club in, where else, Orleans, VT. Miss Emily McClure, a
local gal who has been in the restaurant/bar/hospitality business out
in CA, has returned home and is running the restaurant/bar/banquet room
up there. She caught us up at Burke Mtn. this winter an' approached us
about what she was plannin' for the Orleans C.C. this summer. She
said,"I want you boys to play there"! Well, we're ready ta go. Again,
this is the first summer of havin' entertainment at the Orleans C.C.
and it will take place in the banquet room. Plenty of dance floor, plus
good food and a bar. We have fans up that way (mainly from our playin'
at the Bear Den at Burke Mtn) who don't get a chance to see us a lot,
so this will be a great opportunity an' we hope y'all will make it out
for this. In addition, we'll have a return engagement on Fri Sept 3,
plus another possible one, so stay posted on that."
