 The
Board of Directors are pleased to announce the appointment of Emily
Maclure as OCC’s restaurant manager/lessee. Emily is a 1997 graduate of
Lake Region Union High School and a 2001 graduate of Northeastern
University in Boston. Emily comes to OCC  with
a wealth of experience in
management. For the last two years, Emily was
the director of
operations for Fairfax Partners in Los
Angeles where she over saw four
supper
club/lounge properties; Crown Bar, Winston’s, The Dime, and The
Gasser Lounge. Prior to becoming director of
operations, Emily was
general manager at The Dime for three years. Emily has also
sold real
estate in LA and VT at the Keller Williams Realty in LA and Century
21/Farm and Forest Realty, Inc. in Derby. Through her college years and
following she had four years experience as bartender at a popular
Boston establishment called Whiskeys Sports Bar and Restaurant.

News from Jim Richards:
Bryson was all alone in 32nd position in a field of 144
nine year old players who qualified from all over the world, and could
have finished much better, just got off to a nervous start, however he
did finish 18th among the US players. We are so very proud of his
efforts.

Member's Tournament Raffle
(MTR) was drawn at the Mixed Scotch Tournament held Sunday, Oct.
4th. (See description to the right.)

Including today's tournament, there were 422 entrants (272 men and 150
women). Terry's lucky ticket was from the first tournament of the year
the "Four Person Scramble"

About
the Member's Tournament Raffle . . . .
The
MTR program was started four years ago and is a benefit of being an
Orleans Country Club member. For each club sponsored tournament a
member plays in, he/she enters their name into a raffle for a 2010
membership. It is the member's responsibility to fill out their MTR on
the day of the tournament. If for some reason the MTR's
vouchers
were not available, the pro shop and tournament committees entered the
member's name.
