The VGA COVID-19 Guidelines for Safe Operations in Vermont

Notes from Josh Olney, PGA

Good news is we are prepared, with a few things in the works. Here is a quick summary.

  1. OCC is opening, Thursday, May 7th.
  2. Rental carts will be available, 1 rider per cart. The Pro Shop staff will be in charge of the disinfecting process, not the customer.
  3. If you have not purchased a membership, you will need to pay your dues or greens fees before play.
  4. Posting information is in the works and will be managed over the next several days.
  5. Tee times will be required and all payments will need to be over the phone or online per the requirements.  No one will be able to make a tee time unless you are a member or have paid on line, as the system will not allow it. Please be patient, as we are sure there are kinks to work out.
  6. The clubhouse and pro shop are closed with the exception of the bathrooms. Locker room accessibility is in discussion. Call the pro shop from parking lot.
  7. Drinks will be available for “to go” only.
  8. No food service at this time.
  9. Contact Us:     Pro Shop phone (754-2333)     Bar phone (754-2497).
  10. As we have more information, it will be posted.
  11. All golf courses must adhere to the restrictions outlined by the state.
  12. Follow our e-blast and follow us on Facebook.

Thanks,

Josh Olney, PGA

We are having a fundraiser to replace portions of the clubhouse roof needing repair.

Please consider donating to the Roof Fundraiser.

Three ways to donate:

  • A credit card can be used in the OCC Pro Shop to make your donation until we close for the season.
  • Checks can be sent to Sandy Floersheim’s address at 30 North Avenue, Orleans, VT 05860.
  • Check or cash with slip (on attached PDF) can be placed in Sandy Floersheim’s mailbox in the Pro Shop until we close for the season.

For every $100 donated you receive two 18-Hole greens fees.

For those of you that have already donated, the complimentary cards are in the Pro Shop. Once the pro shop closes, Sandy will mail the complimentary greens fee cards.

Vermont Business Magazine readers poll of the best stand-out businesses in the Green Mountain State.

The results of the BOB Awards speak to the stand-out businesses in Vermont: the ones that offer the best customer service, that are willing to go above and beyond and to pay attention to detail.

The 2017 Best of Business Awards (BOB Awards) winners have been announced byVermont Business Magazine. This awards program celebrates the best Vermont companies in more than 100 business-to-business categories.
VBM readers choose the winners! Starting in January 2017 and closing on March 1st, VBM surveyed its magazine and digital subscribers. We asked our readers – the business leaders of Vermont – who they trust to provide their services in over 100 different categories. After nearly 1,000 responses, we compiled the go-to list in the state for everything from Best Bank and Best Public Relations Firm to Best College for an Online Degree. Some of the questions and answers we based on a regional perspective, while most of the categories were looking for statewide winners.
Vermont Business Magazine has spent the last 45 years forging its relationship with Vermont’s business community, and the BOB Awards provides an opportunity to tell us, other readers and the rest of the state which companies in Vermont have the best products and services for businesses.

Congratulations to Orleans Country Club and the 4 other golf courses who have earned this award!

Come on over and try out some of our new items on our fresh new menu!
