2023 Olney Invitational & 100 Holes News
Orleans Country Club honors all who served
6th Annual Olney Invitational Update
Josh Olney, PGA Head Professional at Orleans CC started this event in 2018 in order to give back to the community. This year the Invitational was held on Saturday, September 16, 2023. It was a beautiful day and a highly successful event. The field was full at 144 players and sold out early!
This event benefits local area Veterans and their families. The money has been used to help with fuel for the winter, vehicle repairs, transportation, utility expenses, etc. There were many Veterans who attended and played in the event. The event has grown, raising more income each year. This year, thanks to the players, volunteers, hole sponsors and raffle donations, this tournament raised $19,023! It has raised almost $80k in the last 6 years.
Folds of Honor – 100 Hole Marathon with Josh & Frank
On Tuesday, October 3rd, 2023, Josh Olney, PGA Head Professional and Frank Barsalow, Golf Course Superintendent at Orleans CC played 100 holes in one day to raise money for the Folds of Honor. FOH is a National program that benefits Fallen and Wounded Veterans and their families with educational scholarships. This was the 6th year Josh & Frank have participated in this fundraiser. They had a beautiful fall day to accomplish their goal. Thanks to the members and friends of OCC, they were able to raise $2521 in 2023 and a total of $13,549 in the last 6 years!
